I got a new laptop a few days ago and installed Ubuntu. The only arma I got working is an older version, but it stores the maps in filesystem/usr/share/games/armagetronad/resource/included

I'm dual booting and using windows for all my games, ubuntu for everything else.

My dad has a mac, I'll see if I can dig up where it stores them.

I'm guessing I'm supposed to get "Autopackage x86_64" or "Autopackage i686."
But I have no idea what to do with packages. Trying to open them after download just gives "gedit has not been able to detect the character encoding." Am I doing something horribly wrong?

    open Terminal

    type "apt-get install synaptic"

    then "sudo apt-get update"

you should now have a better package manager, which you can use to automatically install it from the package.

Also, I used the i686 one.

It seems I already have Synaptic. I have no idea what to do with it though.

    I found the map's folder on the mac. It's in Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/Armagetron Advanced/resource/automatic
